This is a charming little yarn showcasing Elsa Lanchester on her own for a change. She is a British cleaning woman ("Mrs. Muggins") who, in possession of her late husband's "lucky" glass eye, sets off from a bombed London to get herself a job as a cleaner in Hitler's own Chancellory and to assassinate him. It's all a bit far fetched, but has some fun touches - the photo of her late husband is Charles Laughton; she washes the windows then wipes her hands on the Nazi flag - and in general, as the deaf and dumb "Frau Müller", she runs rings around the German military elite. Rarely seen nowadays, but certainly worth a watch.
